PDF & Documents Toolbox is a free web service offered as a progressive web app (PWA).

PDF and image tools run in the browser. Link Shield and the X/Twitter downloader call a server. No document files are collected.

Core commitment

No PDF or image file is ever sent to a server. Processing of those documents happens locally in your web browser. They never leave your device.

Exceptions: the X/Twitter downloader proxies a video URL, and Link Shield stores only the destination URL until expiry, behind a captcha. No metadata from the target page is copied.

Data processed

• PDF documents and images loaded temporarily into your device's random access memory (RAM) to be processed by client-side JavaScript libraries.
• No persistence PDF and image files are automatically removed from memory when you close the tab, reload the page or click "Close" in the preview. Link Shield URLs are deleted at the chosen expiry (1 to 30 days).
• No collection we do not collect, store or transmit any file, metadata or document content. Link Shield keeps only the target URL, not the page content.

Cookies & trackers

This site uses Umami, a privacy-friendly self-hosted analytics tool, to anonymously count page views. Umami does not use cookies, track users, or collect personal data. Link Shield loads Cloudflare Turnstile for the captcha. No other tracking cookies, spy pixels or third-party analytics service (Google Analytics, etc.) are used. Only technical session cookies may be used by the Next.js framework for the application to work.

Hosting

PDF and image documents are processed only in your browser (pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, jspdf). Link Shield uses ephemeral Redis storage for the target URL. No server-side processing is performed on your files.

Purpose of the service

PDF & Documents Toolbox provides utilities for manipulating PDF documents and images, executed client-side, plus a few server services (X/Twitter downloader, Link Shield).

User responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for the documents you process with this tool.
• This service is provided for information purposes. We recommend keeping a backup copy of your original documents before any modification.
• The user agrees not to use the service for illegal activities (counterfeiting, fraud, copyright infringement, etc.).

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The publisher cannot be held liable for any data loss, document alteration or processing errors. The user is invited to verify their documents before use.

Intellectual property

The source code, design and visual identity of this site are the property of the publisher. Third-party libraries used (pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, jspdf, shadcn/ui, etc.) are subject to their respective open-source licenses.

No metadata from these libraries is inserted into the documents you generate.

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and delete your personal data. PDF and image documents exist only in your browser. Link Shield URLs disappear at expiry; for early deletion, contact us with the public link.
